SCOUNDRELS CONTINUE TO BLOW UP
Coming straight out of Columbus GA, Christyles, BigBo, Cutta, Mr Malt. Each of them enjoyed success in their own right. Big Bo and Cutta were apart of the now defunct Backwood Boyz. Cousin Christyles and Mr Malt were well known on the underground scene. 2002 was the year all the parts came together. That was the year the Scoundrels were born.
The Scoundrels hit the music industry with a vengeance in the short time that they have been together. The Scoundrels have had and are still having phenomenal success. They have established fans in the US as well as overseas. They are featured on the album of a well known Australian Artist Tivah. Their single “Full Speed Ahead†is being dubbed the first Aussie and Down South collaboration. The Scoundrels have worked with several overseas producers, such as Lewis Lawson a well known UK producer. Their single “Let Me See You Bounce†is being widely promoted in the UK and the US. “Ghetto†feat Pastor Troy, “Sister†feat Bun B and “Pat Em Down†feat Bohagon are also hitting the club scene in Japan, France, Australia, Germany just to name a few.
The Scoundrels debut album “4-Ever Gullie†has a host of industry giants featured. 8Ball, MJG, Too $hort, Jazze Pha, B.G, Bone Crusher, Pastor Troy, Bun B make an appearance on this power house album. “4-Ever Gullie†has sold over 40,000 units to date.
In the summer of 2005, Invisible Records partnered with Face2Face MEG Distribution to launch an In-store/Event retail tour with Transworld music retail stores. this partnership and a lot of street work on the part of the invisible records street team resulted in having “Ghetto†feat Pastor Troy and “Sister†feat Bun B hitting the #1 position on the Billboard Singles charts over 45 times collectively. The success on the Billboard charts led to Invisible Records being finalist for the Billboard Top Independent Label Award.
