Set in the beautiful woodland hills outside Woodstock, NY in a big old farmhouse with converted studio laboratory and plenty of extra bedrooms for coconspirators is where Danny does most of his work.
Danny Blume and Christian Castagno met in 1997 at Chris' store front studio in the heart of New York's Lower East Side. The location was "Paul's Boutique" of Beastie Boys fame and the vibe was good. Danny had just come off the road from a world tour with Kid Creole and the Coconuts, Chris was finishing the Screaming Headless Torso's live album and listening to a lot of King Tubby. An 808, two Microsynths and an Echoplex later, they had finished their first full length electronic record together. It was a long way from the Bluegrass roots of Danny's Ohio upbringing - or the Armenian hymns of Chris' parents Gurdjieff school. But the kids loved it, and within weeks it was released on New York's vanguard underground label Caipirinha. Since then he have written with and produced an incredibly diverse array of artists in an equally wide range of styles - GoodandEvil's distinctly psychedelic production can be heard on Naty Botero's chart topping debut disc from Sony BMG Colombia, just nominated for a VMA Latino in the best new artist catagory. The Klezmatics Grammy award winning Wonder Wheel. Recently GoodandEvil produced five tracks with Andres Levin for Miguel Bosé's Grammy nominated "Papito" featuring Julieta Venegas, Juanes, Micheal Stipe, Leonor Watling and David Summers. Sex Mob's Grammy nominated Sexotica, Felix da Housecat's Devin Dazzle and the Neon Fever, The Specimen and SK as well as upcoming releases for Anasol, Marbelle, Berlusconis, Voltio and many more.I edited my profile with Thomas Myspace Editor V4.4 (www.strikefile.com/myspace)
