About Me

My name is Mary. I was born in Jersey "Where the weak are killed and eaten" I'm tired of the extreme weather here from freezing winters to sweltering summers, and hope to move to sunny California one day!
I play guitar, sing and write my own music. I paint and draw anything that inspires me. I am a crazy, funny, passionate, emotional, loving person if you get to know me. I am too independent for my own good (though I have my sister/best friend who I can always count on - thanks to God and my mom for making sure there were two of us!) ... Someone once told me that the longer you live free, depending on yourself and living by your own rules, it only gets worse - and he was right! I always seem to be looking for more freedom. No one should ever be forced to do something they don't want to do, or live a way they don't want to live. "If you can't be yourself, what are you living for?" ;)
I love animals very much, especially my two kittens "Venus & Breyers" Two beautiful girls who make my life more bright each day. They are a handful, but they always love you unconditionally :) Humans could sure learn alot from them!
"Animals, so close to perfect. They're the only ones who seem to know their heart" -Gavin Rossdale
I also have a love/hate relationship with my computer. I love the limitless access to all the information and the "freedom" (there's that word again) to create anything I could ever dream of possibly creating! Also the access of being in contact with people from all over the world! A true blessing! Not to mention keeping in contact with long distant friends and family! Amazing! But.... I totally hate the fact that the computer is replacing everything! People get so caught up in virtual reality that they forget how beautiful and fulfilling real life can be! Like looking into someone's eyes, a sensual touch or a loving hug, or even some fresh air and sunshine! :D - Internet can be fun and fill in alot of gaps and voids, but I'd choose life anyday! :)
Well, I could go on forever here. I have a opinion about everything! I'm usually more quiet if you meet me, but that's another thing I do appreciate about this World.Wide.Web. It is much easier to express yourself here, and people have no choice but to listen (or read lol):)
Anything else you'd like to know "about me", just ask! I'll be around ;)
xoxoxo

My Interests

Music, art, writing, reading, movies & television, travel, computer

I'd like to meet:

Robert Schwartzman, Jason Schwartzman, Chris Sarandon, Gary Oldman, Rick Springfield, Simon LeBon (more intimately this time)

Music:

Music is my life blood. It changes me into anything! It speaks for me. It softens me to love. It turns me on. It feeds my rage. It makes me cry (too much). Lyrics are so important in a song. I usually listen very closely for their meanings. It's what makes music the powerful thing it is!
Some of my favorite bands are: April Wine, Collective Soul, La Ley, The Dreaming, Stabbing Westward, Kip Winger, Rooney, Nirvana, Bush, Rick Springfield, Duran Duran, HIM, Goo Goo Dolls just to name a few.

Beto Cuevas is one of the most fascinating people I know :)

This is my favorite picture I took of Christopher of The Dreaming when they played in NJ!

Rockin' Roland!

My favorite Beatle is John Lennon - I admire Paul's total optimism in his every song and situation, and truely strive to be that way myself, but it's Lennon that I can identify with. His darkness and his passion for peace. He was a strange guy, but a very deep, interesting soul.

Movies:

I Am Legend, 1408, Fright Night, Queen Of The Damned, Bram Stoker's Dracula (almost anything with Gary Oldman in it), Walk The Line, Angel-A, The Count Of Monte Cristo, The Passion Of The Christ, Se7en, The Matrix, and of course the M. Night Shyamalan films! I always loved Christian Bale as an actor as well as Edward Burns, Jude Law, Adam Storke, Paul Rudd and Goran Visnjic.

Harpo Marx is my favorite Marx brother! :)

Television:

Favorite TV shows of all time: ER, Family Guy, Stella, Just Shoot Me, The State, Bosom Buddies, The Odd Couple, The Simpsons, Moonlighting, Mr. Bean, Coupling(original british version), Growing Pains

Books:

My reading ranges everywhere. I mostly love horror, but I get in different moods all the time, and I am always choosing new things to read. Sometimes I will go for long periods of time without reading a novel, then I will jump in and be reading like 3 at once! It's crazy, but it keeps my attention and my juices flowing :)

Heroes:

Jesus is, was and will always be my biggest hero. Whether you are religious or not, or even if you do not believe he existed at all, this presence of a man stood for all that is right in the world. He only preached peace and spoke the truth. He was strong without violence. He loved without lust. He saw everyone as equals and taught all he knew about the best way to coexist with one another on this earth. He is the truest idol of mine, and as corny as it may sound, when I don't have the answers anymore, I usually do ask myself the question "What would Jesus do?" and it seems to work out somehow :)
As for the people of my everyday world: Ed Roland is a really big inspiration to me because of his music, his words and his ability to continue on in this harsh world, with such a positive attitude, setting good examples and spreading the peace and love to wherever he can reach! :)
