About Me

We'll hunt for the third tiger now, but like the others this one will be a form of what I dream, a structure of words, and not the flesh and bone tiger that beyond all myths paces the earth. I know these things quite well, yet nonetheless some force keeps driving me in this vague, unreasonable, and ancient quest, and I go one pursuing through the hours another tiger, the beast not found in verse. -J.L. Borges

I hate scary movies, and suprises.

There's alot of things about me you don't know anything about. Things you wouldn't understand. Things you couldn't understand. Things you shouldn't understand...You don't want to get mixed up with a girl like me. I'm a loner, Dottie. A rebel.

My Interests

heads and shoulders, knees and toes.

I'd like to meet:

"Conventional people are roused to frenzy by departure from convention, largely because they regard such departure as criticism of themselves." -B Russell. (When people have so much love for outsiders doesn't it indicate a lack of inner intensity?) I have a penchant for tall androgynous women, alcoholics and drug addicts, fighters of cognative dissonance, and girls that like to cut themselves. Oh, and Samantha Brown.

Books:

What Orwell feared were those who would ban books. What Huxley feared was that there would be no one who wanted to read one. Orwell feared those who would deprive us of information. Huxley feared those who would give us so much that we would be reduced to passivity and egoism. Orwell feared we would become a captive audience. Huxley feared the truth would be drowned in a sea of irreverance. Orwell feared we would become a captive culture. Huxley feared we would become a trivial culture, preoccupied with some equivilent of the feelies, and the centrifugal bumblepuppy. As Huxley remarked in "Brave New World Revisited," the civil libertarians and rationalists who are ever on the alert to oppose tyranny "failed to take into account man's almost infinate appetite for distractions." In "Brave New World" they are controlled by inflicting pleasure. In short, Orwell feared that what we hate would ruin us. Huxley feared that what we love will ruin us.
