Ok I'm bummed, didn't make it to Cleveland to see Colin - other matters got in the way, but hey, I saw a great show last night in Springfield! It's all good! Maybe I'll twirl off for the Pittsburgh show later on...one can never, never tell!
The Bug (Jasmine) is currently in WV and had an engine installed and is up and RUNNING - whoohoo! She's heading to the body shop to spend some time on a few causes. I won't be making my deadline of a summer party for her, and it may take as long as a year to get her 'up to par', but it is being done right by trusted mechanics, and I'm sure she's happier to be running again at least! I know I am!
Not much new IRL really aside from those things. I'm working on computers and finding out great things about external hard drives for video storage! I am still searching for so much that I want to post - it's all here...just a matter of finding it!
In my 'spare time' I do some eBaying, more buying than selling really, but here's what I'm selling on eBay right now.
My friends Matthew and Gunnar Nelson also sell on eBay. This is from their bulletin. Check out the cool stuff!

Now onto the basic profile silliness....
I was born in Parkersburg WV. I live in Columbus OH now. In the past I've lived in Florida, Maine, Pennsylvania and basically all up and down the east coast. I loved Maine the most, but didn't care for the hard winters, so I settled here. New England will always have a special place in my heart - I wish I could visit more often!
I have 4 sons, ranging in age from 4 - 22. Two of them are at the top of my friends list, Jimmy and Nick. Bryce doesn't have a profile here yet and Shawn chose to delete his. We also have a lot of pets. I raise cockatiels and a few varieties of quail as well as the newest addition, chukar partridge. I have two large mix breed dogs and 3 chihuahua mixes. We also have two cats, Tigger and Pima (Pain In My A*&).
I have no prejudices of any kind, nor do I tolerate any. I can't imagine why anyone would want to harbor such a negative energy as hate! I strongly desire positive people around me at all times. I keep an optimistic outlook and have a smile available for anyone interested in sharing. I take friends and family very seriously and am completely dedicated to both. I work as hard as I play, with total commitment. I love music, reading, crafts, the Internet, eBay and all creatures, great and small. I have lots of houseplants and hope to set up a greenhouse next summer. My sun room may well be getting a makeover to accommodate many plants and birds in a more natural environment. I feel bad about having them in cages, but at this point, I must.
I run an ebay store (www.brittanygifts.com), so I'm online a lot, every day. I have a pretty laid back personality and get along with just about everyone for the most part. I love to travel, go to concerts, take a weekend trip to lay on the beach, etc. I'm into collecting baseball cards and marbles. I have over 12 thousand cards currently and probably about 5 thousand marbles. I'm constantly adding to both collections. I collect some art glass, but not for the value, just appeal. If it catches my eye, it typically ends up coming home with me.
I went to see Howard Jones in January 2007 for the first time. I had the pleasure of smoking cigs and chatting with his guitar player friend, Robin Boult. I've since bought his CD (The Itch/Present) and it's wonderful!
'What started out as a few simple tunes for friends turned into the album "Present" & features nylon acoustics, Indian/African percussion & tucked away synths. It's all very laid back, is meant to be purely ambient, soundscapey, simple and tuneful. It's not a guitar album in the normal sense and certainly not of the moment. It's a chill out, and currently there are remixes happening for some of the more specialised labels, so I'm hoping to end up with a totally alternative album as well. Robin Boult' (this section borrowed from the site so you know what the music is about)
It's available on Howard Jones' site if anyone is interested in a really good CD that I've personally played enough times to have to buy a second copy. (yea, my bad, I didn't rip it first ;)) If you're out there somewhere in cyberspace, Hi Robin!
Update: went to see them again in Akron OH and in Bay Shore NY. Video from the Akron show is available for free download, links below. I didn't tape the NY show. I had a front row seat and opted to watch it instead of seeing it through my camera! ;)
Update: Video of the meet and greet in Akron is now posted in my video. Thanks Susan! Can't wait for the Ram's Head show!
Update: The show at Ram's Head was absolutely wonderful. Video in processing at the moment. Thanks to Susan for coming along and navigating for me! There is a fun story below about this show.

Update, 45 story...I went to Annapolis MD to see Howard and Robin at Rams Head (which is a place I love to visit)! Prior to the show, I had a chance to chat with Robin briefly, and showed him a 45 I'd brought along, a Howard Jones single from a few years back, named "I'd like to get to know you well". Much to my surprise, once they'd started the show, Howard says, "Robin tells me someone in the audience has a copy of this 45" (as he begins into his story about this particular song). I raised my hand and admitted, that, yes, it was I, who had the record. He asked me to bring it on stage and I did, of course. The 45 spent the length of the song on stage, while I attempted to film, in shock. After the song, he returned the 45 to me and kindly signed it for me after the show. I will do my best to upload footage of this as soon as possible, as well as the hilarious story, which is why I bought the 45 to begin with. I'm new to the Howard Jones scene, but that story makes me laugh every time I hear it, so I thought I'd buy a copy, frame it, and when I was feeling down, I'd have something to look at to make me feel better. Never did I dream that my silly little adventure would turn into such a great memory! All thanks go to Robin for that one! And to Howard; thanks for being such a sport and signing it for me - now it's a real keepsake that will make me smile every time I see it, for sure!
(Really old news at this point:)
I finally got a few new pics posted.
My son Bryce has been enjoying the camera lately, so more pics of him to come soon! He's 2 years old now! Gonna be a FUN year! LOL
To celebrate his 2nd birthday (May 2nd), my best friend and I introduced him to horses. He was a bit apprehensive at first, but warmed up to them quickly, as I'd hoped! We both went crazy taking pictures, several are now posted.
Bryce and our neighbor Olivia had fun playing in the ball pit Bryce got for his birthday. She had to show him how to throw the balls in there - he caught on quickly of course! Eddie, one of three chihuahua mixes I have, insisted on joining and Bryce readily agreed to let him in. Once the kids were done, I decided to let the kittens have a try and they had a great time once they realized there was a door and they weren't trapped. I couldn't get many good shots - they move SO fast!
Zoo pics taken April 3,2007. Enjoy!
New Zoo Pics taken May 13th, 2007. Saw the big snake and the baby koala this time, as well as a newly adopted gorilla baby! Great trip! I love our zoo!
