Sounds Like: Sounds like Carter Family and other roots music attacked by a Sicilian mandolin tremulo. . We call ourselves The Bluegrass Primitives perhaps more in keeping with reality than modesty, We began jamming after painting sessions and it felt very natural. Something about our naievite and amateur status seems to put us in touch with a more genuine musical experience, at least we think so.Mike writes: “Hey, remember the Bluegrass Primitives aesthetic is TRUE FOLK MUSIC...including on the spot improvisation. As far as I can tell the so called "professionals" have ruined music and painting so I am thinking we are the true hope.
