The Dragons Den, like most Kajukenbo schools started out in the garage. As interest increased, the Dragons Den ohana began to grow. With Sigung Jeff's and Sifu Jon's father and uncle both being boxers, it was inevitable that we would one day host a boxing program sanctioned by USA boxing. But before the boxing program was even birthed, other classes such as eskrima, kali, kickboxing, and wrestling were offered. With Kajukenbo being the first true mixed martial arts coming from hawaii and the surge of the ufc playing a role in spreading mixed martial arts, we are a school which blends both the traditional mixed martial arts as well as the modern day mixed martial arts which can be seen on tv. Recently, Sifu Jon has moved down to San Diego to train with some of the best in the business such as Abu Dhabi vetern Baret Yoshida, and UFC superstar Brandon Vera. Sifu Jon also continues to spread the art of Kajukenbo in San Diego, teaching out of his garage, just as the Dragons Den first hit the scenes...
