About Me

There's not much to be said... I'm increasingly amazed at the seemingly infinite degree of complexity present amongst even the smallest elements. Things that are magnified millions of times and still retain an air of mystery about them. The coherency of the world, the universe... This gives us a glimpse of the depth of the wisdom of the Creator and of God's amazing ability to bring what we know as reality into being. Here's some stuff that's good. What does not destroy me, makes me stronger - Friedrich NietzscheWE are the music-makers, And we are the dreamers of dreams, Wandering by lone sea-breakers, And sitting by desolate streams; World-losers and world-forsakers, On whom the pale moon gleams: Yet we are the movers and shakers Of the world for ever, it seems. With wonderful deathless ditties We build up the world's great cities, And out of a fabulous story We fashion an empire's glory: One man with a dream, at pleasure, Shall go forth and conquer a crown; And three with a new song's measure Can trample an empire down. We, in the ages lying In the buried past of the earth, Built Nineveh with our sighing, And Babel itself with our mirth; And o'erthrew them with prophesying To the old of the new world's worth; For each age is a dream that is dying, Or one that is coming to birth."But I, being poor, have only my dreams. I have spread my dreams under your feet. Tread softly because you tread on my dreams." - Yeats

My Interests

Reading, Movies, Cooking, Music. Yes. Long list. Very complicated. I know.

I'd like to meet:

Half of the people on my list of friends.

Music:

Elliott Smith, the Shins, Rooney, Franz Ferdinand, Frou Frou, Muse, etc.

Movies:

good ones. vertigo, secret window, underworld, garden state, you get the picture.

Television:

Well, it's not so much watching TV as it is... it's kind of like... you know when you were a kid and you'd swear up and down that you weren't tired, but you kind of knew you were somewhere deep down inside? yeah, even though nobody's forcing me to go to bed, i keep on doing that. so i fall asleep on the couch with the history channel or something like that on. wake up at 6:00 am and transplant myself to a more suitable setting. like my bed. so it's kind of like a bedtime story machine. except that it tells real stories about people getting killed in massive numbers and cities being built. and empires being taken down. kind of like a bedtime story for a grown-up kid. sort of.

Books:

Sherlock Holmes, Angels and Demons, Manhattan Hunt Club, and I read textbooks.

Heroes:

The guy who first invented the idea of drinking the brown water that resulted from pouring boiling water on top of some seeds from some berries that made animals go crazy. That guy and then the guy who figured out how to make hardcore brown sludge that by pressurizing everything. Whoever those guys were, they're my heroes.
