About Me

Izzy Sin was born 14th of December 1983 in the non-sleeping city of Madrid, Spain.
During his youth the young guitarist was captivated by the guitar sounds of new legendary players such as Jimi Hendrix, Robin Crosby, Rory Gallagher, K.K. Downing, Glenn Tipton, Wolf Hoffmann and Eric Clapton.
At the age of 5 Izzy have his most important contact with the music, his father was owner of one of the most important studios in Madrid, and Izzy make contact with the 80's music. Lot of the most important band of the 80's go to the Izzy's father studio to record their albums.
"When I was a child in my father studio, rock bands come and go...I saw a lot of bands and the most important, I hear of Rock music, it was very exciting, meeting with all those guys".
The 80's was too important for the Izzy influences, in his home, hard rock and heavy metal albums become in his most important influences and meeting with well know artist of the moment makes that Izzy became into the rock attitude as a child.
"80's was the best music era, I remember my home and all the recordings that my parents bought...that music caused a hard impact to me... Nothing really interested me in school, including music. I didn't know what I wanted to do, and then suddenly this thing started to happen - the hair started to grow.It happened almost over night: I was that affected for all that records. I needed to play something..."
At the age of 17, Izzy Sin bought his first guitar, a copy of a Stratocaster, when his first chords and melodies grown in his own style.
"I remember that guitar...it was a piece of shit, too hard strings, too heavy and so unconfortable guitar, but few months ago I bough an expensive guitar, that was the moment, my technic get better, my compositions star to sound good..." In 2001, Izzy Sin meet Skylar Bane and a few good friends and founded his first band where grown his own style.Their distinctive guitar sound have become a trademark in the field with Izzy's more wild style perfectly complementing Skylar's melodic output.
"I got my first guitar at 17... I didn't have money for lessons, so I got a chord book, and a few records and few years later knocked around with some friends until we pretty much taught ourselves."
In 2006, Izzy and Skylar Bane creates "Evil Axis", an impressive band that combines, the wild sound of the classic heavy metal and the wild attitude of Hard Rock.
In December of 2007 Carlos Marin and Betty Pink (both in El Ruido Maldito) meets with Izzy and Skylar and join into the band forming the nucleus of "Evil Axis" which has remained intact until this very day and was in the middle of 2008 when Gianni Pandone joined to the band as lead singer.
Appart of his music passion Izzy is well know for his hobbie of collecting Flying V guitars.
"I bought any guitar that makes me feel that things that I play, specially flying v's. Actually I have a lot of guitars and all are special, Recently I get one Hamer Scepter V that will be my main axe".
"I'm into the mood of vintage guitars, I own a Hamer Scarab, 1967 Gibson Flying V's....I think the best guitars are the old guitars, because the old woods sounds better....The old guitars are little pieces of history, a real masterpieces" Izzy Sin is well know for his big experience and for his hard and wild.
