About Me

Seattle has been around and seen more changes than most might think. The band formed in 1993 with the need for someone to relay the grunge sound to those who couldn't find a way to make it to see those bands who made this great music from the start. Members have come and members have gone, while the two founding members Dan Johnson and Dan Gable still remain in the band.
As some of you may know, the famous Tim "The Ripper" Owens is one of the former men who fronted Seattle. Tim then moved on to lead the mighty Judas Priest into the next millennium. Joining the band a few months before Tim's departure was Joel Echelberger. A prior musical project of Joel's landed an opening spot for Seattle. Joel sat in on a few songs with the band and a couple of months later he was the new drummer.
Before Tim's final few shows with Seattle a new replacement had to be worked into the line-up, this was Doug Kleiner. Doug was mutual friends with Johnson and Gable and they felt that with his style of singing and guitar playing, he would add the second guitar that the band needed to give it a much greater sound. The vocals are now shared by all members of the band giving them the diversity that makes them the complete grunge package.
