Our first gig went down rather damn well. It was all a bit of an experiment having two stages: acoustic and electric, all in the wonders of the One Eyed Cat of Truro. See the pictures if you don't believe us!
Far from over though guys, no fear! We are in the process of organising our next event- so keep the eyes and ears peeled and get voting! The date is set for the 28th April at the One Eyed Cat...hope to see you all there!
Aiming to raise money and awareness for the charity Boom Shewula, Summit Boom hopes to bring local bands to great local venues and maybe some new ones. We are dedicated to bringing great music across the county for the best reason- charity.
Boom Shewula helps to fund three schools in Shewula that have been set up for orphans of the HIV/AIDS epidemic. These schools are a community based project, run by members of the community of Shewula, rather than outside aid organisations. Boom Shewula raises money in Cornwall and sends this directly to the schools in Swaziland, ensuring all the money goes to the children that need it. And these children do need it.Two of our team were in Swaziland visiting the funded schools back in Summer and have brought back tales from the heart of Swaziland and all its wondrous arteries. We hope you like your next installment of charity rooted musical amazement...
