Life continues to be interesting to say the least! Fight the good fight I say! Stand up, dust myself off & remember that I can NEVER compromise what I need & want to be happy. The old saying, "All that glitters isn't gold" keeps coming to mind. Each day still manages to teach a lesson, some more painful than others, but not as painful as the last. Some appear to be painful, but just turn out to be down right hilarious. Live & learn... it's when you stop learning that you have to start worrying. Still not interested in booty calls, one night stands or buying a dream... I'm looking for the real deal. If you aren't, have fun & be safe doing you... Speaking of relationships, they seem to come with many different definitions. I thought that as long as you were straight about what you are looking for & how it is you feel about the person in your life, the rest would be easy... I was wrong about that, but it's still in my heart; what can I do? It does happen to be a little more complicated than that, I just have to learn how to protect my heart because no one else has so far. I'm not saying if the vibe is there & "the one" comes along & takes my breath away, I'm going to run in the opposite direction... but I AM going to be looking for those subtle signs better. I still believe that respect, honesty, tenderness & morals are important in any relationship & I refuse to settle for less in mine. If you're interested in getting to know a beautiful, rubenesque, honest, tender, passionate & compassionate, down to earth & witty woman who isn't afraid to bait her own hook, then let's talk. All BS aside, I'm a little bit bitchy & a whole lotta' sassy, but I have a great personality & want a man that can see AND appreciate the difference, if not... STEP OFF! If you can't enjoy my company as much at a movie, lunch or a walk at sunset as you do indoors... we will have a problem. This is as straight as I can be... it is what it is. Can you show me different?

My Interests

Well, the Drive-in used to be the shot for me, but ever since I lost my drive in buddy & I don't have the Explorer anymore, it's not so appealing. Listening to music eases my heart & mind & also provides for some pretty good rump shaking :) Road trips are always a good time with the right people & I LOVE classic cars! I'm a big NFL & NBA fan & am always down to enjoy a good game. The beach on a warm night or just exploring... it's all new to me. There's more, but who reads this stuff anyway?

I'd like to meet:

For friends: Honest, hard working, laid back folks. People who can laugh at themselves & do stop to smell the flowers; not just talk about it. People that can hold an intelligent conversation about more than just sex. People with varied interests & knowledge. If we can't learn from one another... what good are we? People that can see past the visual & appreciate the good & the bad in the people they call friends. My dream is to find a strong black man with morals, integrity, respect & the ability to be open about the man he is. A man who can be honest about the good, the bad & the not so pretty & that can be straight if he isn't feeling me, it or us... no BS no games. One who isn't afraid to love or be loved & be treated like my king & show ample affection in return, let me feel safe in his arms. He must have a sense of humor & be able to laugh at all the silly things in life as there's plenty to laugh at. I'd like a man who can be more courageous in looking for what might be right in a woman rather than what's wrong. He's done running the streets looking for immediate gratification & at least looking to settle down with that ONE female that makes him ___ (you tell me what it is). Are you the man of my dreams? Photos would be nice, we'd BOTH like to know who we are talking to. Take care of you & let God handle the rest!

Crash was an eye opener, Sin City, Ray, Nothing To Loose, Boyz in the Hood, Antowne Fisher, Brown Sugar, The Hurricane, Original Sin, Two Can Play That Game, Brothers, Jason's Lyric, any Dolomite movie, Scarface, Barbershop I & II, Fantastic 4, Shaft, anything with Denzel, Antonio, Nicolas Cage, John Travolta, Jet Li, Al Pachino, Tom Hanks. Boondocks are the shit! The Shield, Nip/Tuck, CSI, NFL, NBA, boxing, American Chopper, PMR, any show that is making a vehicle beautiful is ok by me!

Books:

Finished most of the Prey series by John Sandford awhile back. Read Raising Fences - A Black man's Love Story by Michael Datcher & that was cool. Now I'm all caught up in Jonathan Kellerman. I got my hands on Men Cry In The Dark by Michael Baisden, but just bought Never Satisfied How & Why Men Cheat... looking for some kind of insight on the male mind!
