Andrew Garrett A.K.A. DRU BURNA A.K.A MISTA BURNA started having an intrest in rap music since his youth. Growing up in north Texas, but by 17 years old he was moving back and forth from Los Angeles and there. At a young age his potential was sought out by important "Ganster rap" figures. First encounter was with LAWHOUSE'S Lay Law. Was told by him that he had the realness from the streets as great raper 2Pac did when ryming. This building Burna's ego Dru continued on his mission to become important, and noticed in this Rap industry. Being Bi-Coastal was a challenge for the young rap artist but threw game and talent he was able to establish free production in various locations around Los Angeles. In 98' he created his demo and sent it to many major record labels. No response. Burna was feeling rap was a shot in the dark, after meeting with great producers and musicians who never took his ventures seriously. As years rolled by many promises have been made but no real action has been taken. Shows have been done and performances are beeing made. Will there be ever another Nas or Jay Z or anything great ever again. Will rapp music be what pop is and fizz out and stay shitty. America wants to see realness the trail and tribulations of young black America. Burna like many other M.C.'s signed or unsigned belive's rap is at one of its lowest valleys. It will only be up to industry leaders to take control again a make rap what it was REAL.
