I’m a visual artist, an editor and I teach at the University. I was born on 29th May 1978 in Bergamo (Italy). I degreed both in Fine Arts in 2001 at the Carrara Fine Arts Academy of Bergamo and in Philosophy in 2004 at the State University of Milan.
I focused my studies on Contemporary Art, both at historical, critical and aesthetical level, and as production of my artworks. Other interests are literature, writing and philosophy. From 2003 I’m teaching Art at the University IUAV of Venice, and I’m working as editor of art school books for various publishing firms (Atlas, Bergamo; De Agostini, Milano; La Scuola, Brescia). In june 2007 I travelled through Venice, Basel, Kassel and Münster to see the Venice Biennal, Art Basel, Documenta and Skulptur Projekte. In may 2008 I saw the Berlin Biennial.
I have made several exhibitions, both collective and individual. In february 2009 I took part to a group exhibit at Art Raw Gallery in New York. In my artworks I mainly use painting and drawing. I usually start to build images from landscapes (I often take photographs of landscapes) or natural elements as woods, trees, meadows. The main subjects are nature (rendered in an abstract image) and architectonic details, a sort of mixture of wildness and civilization, of a muddled meadow and a storic decoration of a house. From the starting point – nature, landscape, architecture and myself – I seek to reach an abstract dimension, a mental condition expressed in essential images, an opening to infinity.
