Antjuan Johnson began mesmerizing crowds at his first major performance in Nashville’s Riverfront Park during the Dancin’ In The District concert series in 2005, and he has yet to look back. Antjuan has been honing his sound since the age of seven, when he was given a keyboard and almost immediately began to display his musical talents by teaching himself to read music and play by ear.Other factors that have contributed the singer/songwriter/producer’s success are his strong family and church backgrounds—which have served as a source of support and encouragement along his journey. Antjuan also draws inspiration from several musical artists, including, Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, Bill Withers, George Benson and many more. With an ever-growing list of live performances, including a showcase at B.B. King’s Blues Club, Antjuan Johnson continues the legacy of great soul musicians from Tennessee. Collective Soul contributor and freelance producer Dexter Green once stated, “Antjuan speaks from a place that no other artist speaks from.†Whether you experience Antjuan Johnson’s sound via a live concert, or on his upcoming full-length LP, you are sure to agree.
