Kevin has served as keyboardist and musical director for American Idol’s Katharine McPhee (Pop Singer on RCA/Sony/BMG), Co-MD and keyboardist with Mario (J Records/Arista), MD and keyboardist for Christina Milian, MD and keyboardist with Emily King (J Records), keyboardist and studio musician with Macy Gray, Keyboardist and Co-Music Director for The Floacist/Natalie from the band Floetry, legendary R&B vocalist Howard Hewett, legendary Soul and R&B vocalist James Ingram, worked with Stewart Copeland (legendary drummer for The Police), Tyrese (R&B Singer), Taylor Dane (Pop/R&B Singer), and Lina (Neo-Soul Singer on Hidden Beach). Teasley has also lended his keyboard and musical director skills to the legendary Soul and R&B group, The Main Ingredient. He has also lended his pianistic skills as a studio musician and arranger for such television shows as “Living Single” starring actress/singer Queen Latifah for Fox Television as well as “Little Bill” created by legendary comedian Bill Cosby for Nickelodeon working with Stud Gardner on both (Composer of the theme song for “The Cosby Show”). Kevin has composed music and sound designed for commercials, television shows, radio, and feature film trailers for clients including Saab Automobiles, Geico Car Insurance, Grolsch Beer, 20th Century Fox, Fox Searchlight, MGM, Sony Pictures, HBO, Paramount Pictures, Warner Bros. Pictures, The Weinstein Co., Miramax, New Line Cinema, Columbia Tristar, Edmonds Entertainment (Babyface), Our Stories Films, among several others. Recent trailer work includes, “Night at the Museum”, “Eragon”, “Dreamgirls”, “Fantastic Four and the Silver Surfer”, “Roll Bounce”, “A Good Year” “V for Vendetta”, “Harsh Times”, “Open Season”, “Ice Age 2”, “Hoodwinked”, “Doogal”, “Flags of Our Fathers”, “We Are Marshall”, “KA - Cirque Du Soleil”, “Beowulf”, “Jumper”, “Lions for Lambs”, “I Am Legend”, “John Rambo”, “AVP2”, and numerous others. Recent video game trailer composition credits include Saboteur (Pandemic Games) and Spiderwick (based on the feature film). Kevin, graduated Magna Cum Laude from Virginia Union University where he studied Jazz Piano and Composition. He has traveled all across the United States, Central and South America, The Caribbean, Asia, Indonesia, and Western Europe including the JVC Jazz Festival in London, England touring as a Pianist with many artists and productions. Theatrically, he has served as Pianist, Composer, and/or Musical Director for theatre show productions such as “Unforgettable - The Nat “King” Cole Story”, “Jammin’ with Pops - Louis Armstrong and Ella Fitzgerald”, “Sister Act”, “Ain’t Misbehavin”, “Don’t Bother Me I Can’t Cope” and “A Date with Dorothy Daindridge”, Junk! – A Rock Opera, as well other notables. Kevin has composed/arranged/music directed for such productions as “My Soul is a Witness” and now, “Jackie, Vi, and Lena”. Kevin has received the Virginia Commission for the Arts Award three years consecutively and was the recipient of the Michael Jackson Scholarship Award. Also, he has composed music for such companies and music libraries as Groove Addicts, American Music Company, One Music, Selectracks, The Hollywood Edge/Soundelux, Editors Choice. As well, Kevin owns two companies Hear the Picture Musicworks (custom music scoring for film/tv/commercials) and Distortion (sound design and music library for feature film advertising) both based in Los Angeles, CA. Lastly, he is also a Ronald E. McNair Scholar and has been a faculty member teaching music at several colleges and universities including, Virginia Union University, The University of Virginia, (AMDA – Los Angeles) – Academy of Musical and Dramatic Arts, and H. Lavitty Stout College on the island of Tortola, The British Virgin Islands.
