About Me

I attended both Anoka and Irondale, leaving Irondale in 9th grade because I lived with my grandmother who in 1996, lost her battle with leukemia. I was forced to move with my dad up to Ramsey, and started at Anoka. I still felt the need to keep in touch with those who wanted to keep in touch with me from Irondale. These people included Tim Leonard, who is now my husband and best friend.~~~I worked hard to graduate early, so that I could get a head start on my summer work, and just be free. ~~~Tim proposed just before we started Senior year. We knew we both wanted to be together forever. ~~~ Life so far has been a rollercoaster ride and I don’t regret a minute of any of it. ~~~ Tim and I were married September 1, 2002, and I was happy at the way it turned out. It was outdoors at French Regional Park in Plymouth. It was beautiful out, and the weather held up nice until just after the recessional. Then it POURED! If rain on your wedding day is supposed to be good luck, then we were supplied with a lifetime's-worth. ~~~ My bridesmaids were my sister Samantha (my MoH as well), my now-ex-aunt PJ, my friends Amy and Jenny. My younger sister Hailey was my flower girl. I made my own dress as well as my bridesmaids' dresses and Hailey's flowergirl dress.~~~ We didn't go on a honeymoon right away because of time off from work and lack of money. So we set the trip for the middle of January. We went to Orlando, and hit all the parks. Neither of us had been there, so it was fun exploring Florida. We even drove out to Cocoa Beach, where I saw the Atlantic for the first time. ~~~ I was pregnant with our first baby at that time, so I just had to avoid the rides. ~~~ 32 weeks later we had a BEAUTIFUL baby boy, Nathan Jon Leonard. He was born 8/15/2003 at 10:05pm at Mercy Hospital. He was 8lbs 7oz and 20.5". ~~~ We closed on our first and what will be our only house 6/2004. We purchased the house from my grandparents who retired and moved up North. ~~~ August 2005 we took our first ever trip to Las Vegas. We had a BLAST! We were able to arrange for Nathan to stay with his daycare provider all week, so we could just spend time alone. We stayed at the Stratosphere. We rented a car so we could have our own transportation instead of using taxis. We drove to California and made stops in Hollywood and Santa Monica. We both went boogie boarding, and sucked at it. We played games on the pier, walked along the beach and just plain had fun. The only things I didn't like about that area are the drivers who all drove like they were being chased by cops (some probably were too) and the brown haze that makes you cough just looking at it. ~~~ About a week after we get back, I felt nauseated, so I bought a test, and, well, 37 weeks later, we have another beautiful baby boy, Benjamin Martin Leonard. Ben was born 5/3/2006 at 2:35pm, also at Mercy Hospital. He was 7lb 7oz, and 20.5". ~~~Because I have always always wanted to be a stay-at-home mom, I decided to open my own daycare just before I had Ben. So I started the process just before Ben was born, and as of 9/1/06 I am licensed by Anoka County. Also, I am a certified wedding coordinator and an authorized dealer of Carlson Craft paper stationery. Need anything, email me at [email protected]

I'd like to meet:

The list of people I would like to meet: J.K. Rowling, President George W. Bush, Mel Gibson, Jeff Gordon, Patricia Heaton, Ray Romano, Brad Garrett, Denis Leary, Reese Witherspoon, Garth Brooks, Tim McGraw & Faith Hill.

Music:

I don't listen to music a whole lot anymore since I have become addicted to talk radio and the Harry Potter books on CD, but the stuff I do listen to when I want to hear music is pretty much all kinds (country, classical, 80's hair bands, etc.) with the exception of rap and hiphop. I love listening to Trans-Siberian Orchestra no matter what time of year. Last year (2005) we went to their performance and got autographs afterward. For the Christmas 2006 concert we were center stage, 25th row. One word: LOUD. But it was cool too, to be that close.I like Tim McGraw/Faith Hill, Lynrd Skynrd, Alice Cooper, Pink Floyd, Ozzy/Black Sabbath, Garth Brooks, Alan Jackson, Clint Black, Cyndi Lauper, The Bangles, and many others.Tim McGraw Lyrics Tim McGraw Music Codes Music Codes by SongArea.com

Television:

I don't watch much TV, if at all. I often find better things to do, since most TV now sucks ass-I don't like most reality type shows. The shows I do watch on occasion if the TV is on, are House MD, Everybody Loves Raymond reruns, The Simpsons, 24, 7th Heaven, Scrubs, and only the auditions part of American Idol.

Books:

Harry Potter series (J.K. Rowling is a fantasy/mystery writing genius), John Grisham. I read various books about the revolutionary war, the US Military and the planes they use, etc.

Heroes:

The men and women of the US Military in Iraq and all over the world. Because of the freedoms they protect, I am able to write this without repercussion. My other heroes are my husband, and my sons. They keep me going when my emotions and motivation run low.
