ESSENCE is a ministry dedicated to exalting the savior through the ministry of music. ESSENCE is the “brain-child†of Sheldon Andrus. Sheldon, whom, since he was able to comprehend, has had a passion for music, especially the kind that touched the very heart of God. God moved on him to gather a group of talented musicians and talented vocalists. Thus, ESSENCE was formed. The group consists of current Ohio University students. The varied background of the group members mirrors God’s calling to ESSENCE to reach those of all denominations, races, colors, and worship styles. ESSENCE, since it’s founding, has quickly become a group with a passion for ushering in the people into the presence of God. ESSENCE strives to touch the lives and hearts of all who listen. They are dedicated to bringing the people of God into His life changing presence. With original pieces and anointed psalmistry ESSENCE does just that. Stay tuned!
