Easy E: A biography -Easy E was born Eric Wright on September 7, 1963. Easy (as he would come to be known by his closet friends) was born like most African-Americans in the area, poor and impoverished. Young E decided it would be best to not follow in the footsteps of fallen brothers around him and began to attened Dominquez Hills High School with hopes of growing up to be the nations leading source on particle physics. In the tenth grade he dropped out and began instead to deal drugs declaring "That shit's way harder then muthafuckin' T.V. makes it out to be!" Unlike his African brothers before him though, E did not waste the money he began pulling in on bitches, blunts, 40's or 64' Impala's (ok, he used a bit on that), but instead put the money to good use starting his own Country Label called, 'Blackface Cowboy' records. When E finally came down off a 5 week crack binge, he realized what a mistake he had made and promptly dropped 'Blackface' and its country roots for a more modern Rap label called 'Ruthless Records'. E recruited his old running crew of Ice Cube, Dr. Dre, MC Ren, DJ Yella, Arabian Prince and Colin Powell to bring the raw power back to rap. Powell dropped out of the group shortly after to get a real job and earn enough money to become white. The core trooped on and soon released there first album, 'Easy E and the Doo Woop Diddies sing the blues'. When this record failed to make a dent in the charts, the boys went back to the drawing boards. E thought the Doo Whoop Diddies didnt exactly strike fear into a man's heart like gangsta rappers were suppposed to, so the group decided upon a new Moniker; Nigga's with Attitude or more affectionaly titled N.W.A. With the rageful name in the bag the boys released there second album, 'N.W.A. and the Posse' in 1987. The album was thought to not be quite thuggish enough. One critic was stated as saying: " Who the Fuck are these fags!? What gangsta rap really needs is some bad ass mother's who are comming straight outta Compton! Not these assholes who are clearly striahgt out of West Hollywood!" E, in an effort to calm the masses, released there second album in 1989, aptly named: 'Straight outta Compton'. The same reveiwer quickly retracted his early statement by saying, "Sometimes we in the press make mistakes. Surely with a albulm name like 'Straight outta Compton' these boy's must surely be....Straight outta Compton." With that retraction, E knew that he had finally made it as a gangsta rapper. That same year, N.W.A. succesfully prosecuted the Police Department. Although not actually having any law school experiance or degrees, prosecuting attornies Ice Cube, MC Ren and Easy 'Muthafuckin' E won a unianimous vote of guilty against the department. Nay-sayers would state that it was simply due to the fact that there was no jury and that Dr. Dre was the presiding judge. However, N.W.A.'s fans knew the truth. E had finally had his day in court. The transcripts of the court case were promplty made in the well recived song 'Fuck the Police' and can be heard on 'Straight outta Compton'. Eventually, internal strife led to the break up of America's favorite super group. E and Dre had a falling out and quickly began to make slanderish albulms about each other, including Dre's 1992 albulm 'Easy E drinks pee' and Easy's own 'Dr. Dre isnt a real Doctor and has smelly fart breath'. Easy E however soon fell afoul of his fans by supporting the only non-white cop who beat Rodney King and by attending the Republican National convention. White supremists were so disheartened by E's support of both cops and Republicans, they planned to have E assassinated. A.I.D.S. however took care of the job in 1995. E lapsed into a non-chronic related coma and died at approxmitly 6:35pm, March 26th 1995. Dre pulled his album 'Easy E is a closet homo and should die of A.I.D.S.' out of respect for his fallen homeboy. Easy E will always be remembered for his undying spirit and drive......as well as dying of A.I.D.S.
