About Me

From the age of ten I started playing drums in the basement of my house in Allentown, Pennsylvania where my father started out his Christian ministry-ever since then I have been hooked!! My father saw my interest in the drums and percussion and immediately signed me up for lessons. Shortly after that I was playing at many crusades in churches throughout the Bronx and Queens, New York after my father would persuade the music director to let me sit in and play with the big-dogs! What an experience that was and I am very grateful to my dad for pushing me in that direction. I studied drumming with my teacher, Carl Hittner in Allentown and took private lessons for 5 years (1980 to 1985). I was part of the Dieruff High School drum Line and Orchestra band from 1984-1985 in Allentown Pa. Also part of the King High School drum line from 1986-1987 in Tampa, Fl. I have taken on the position of drum chair for the following churches over the years: United Pentecostal Church-Whitehall, Pa (1980-1985), Calvary Tabernacle-Tampa, FL(1986-1987), Without Walls Int. I have also been fortunate to teach others the art of drumming. I have concentrated my teachings for beginners, going over the basics of reading and drumset playing.I love music and I put my heart and soul into the movement and also appreciate every moment and opportunity that has come my way and look forward to any more future opportunities. The biggest joy and fullfillment happens when I past on the art of drumming/percussion to my sons. I strongly believe that in life, we have to keep dreaming no matter what happens. We can never give up hope. We have to stay true to what our passions are in life and also keep on drumming! Life is too short and time seems to past us by rapidly. Enjoy every moment and live each day like its your last day on Earth! Many thanks to my wife, Sandy who loves and supports what I do. Without her influence in my life-I could not do what I do musically! Many thanks and respect to my family that has always been there to support my music and especially MamiAna who is in the heavens enjoing what I do.
