We as MARLA ZINGER have been able to find our sanity in eachother. Our love for music and one another encourages our sound which continues to evolve through our experimentation. Being close friends since high school, we continue to find joy in creating music together that we can also share with those around us.
Our shelter from the distractions of the real world has been our studio - aka "The Unit" and it is there where we are truly at peace. It has given us the opportunity to create, critique and perfect our music without the pressures of judgement and jealousy. This haven has become a safe house to us, as well as those closest to the band.
We have always believed in giving credit where it is due and we praise those who have influenced us to continue doing what we passionately love. LIONESS, RADIOHEAD, PEARL JAM, BROKEN SOCIAL SCENE and USER FRIENDLY are just a few bands that have inspired us to make our music. These influences have each found their way into our sound and are what make it unique. Our music has been described as having driving beats that incorporate soothing melodies over raw riffs that provide our listeners, as well as ourselves, with clarity. Our music is free and without limitations.
We leave you with a message: many thanks to those who have supported and joined us on our journey.....we will never forget you. You are as much a part of Marla Zinger as we are.
