A FEW WORDS FROM KEVIN BURDICK ABOUT HIS NEWEST CD "WE ARE THE WALKING WOUNDED":Thank you so much for checking out my new CD “We Are The Walking Wounded (available on iTunes).†I really hope that you enjoy it. This CD is a years worth of writing and recording and is a huge achievement for me personally.
There are a number of really meaningful tracks on this album. “At the Fisher House†was written about the brother of my business manager, a ghost-recon sniper for the U.S. Military, who had legs taken from him by a roadside bomb in Iraq a little over a year and half ago. I spent countless hours interviewing him before composing that track. “Cigarette Girl†was about my divorce 3½ years ago – I joke that it is court mandated that I sing that at every show. “Camelot†was inspired by personal love and loss (why are some girls always looking for the ‘bigger, better deal’). “These Danish Seas†was written after my trip to Denmark last year – most people don’t know that I am over 50% Danish (which explains my large head).
Thanks again for your “big time†support! It is the friends and fans I have who keep me going on this journey and I’m excited to see where this album and these songs take me next.
Keep in touch!
Your friend,
Kevin Burdick
