Thomas

Thomas was said to be the disciple who insisted on touching Jesus after the resurrection to prove he was in the flesh. It is said that Thomas preached to the Parthians and Persians and these groups were followers of Tammuz or Dumuzi as was his Sumurian name. When Portuguese Christain missionaries arrived in sothern India they found a sect who worshiped a god named 'Thomas' and whos religion was almost identical to Christianity. The Missionaries were bewildered by the fact that the religion was 'Christian' in virtually every aspect except one. They did not worship Jesus and had never heard of him. The 'Thomas' they were worshiping was Tammuz, the hero of the 'Jesus' story for thousands of years before Christianity. Thomas means 'twin' in Aramaic and Syriac Languages. ------------------------------------------------------------ ---------- I like intelligence and can find stupidity intolerable. I find certain people trivial and empty headed. Psychologically astute, smart, quick and perceptive. Im straight to the point and i like to know what others think straight out withought subterfuge. This does not however mean i am incapable of subtlety. I dont like lies or deceptive people who hide things. I dont like to dress things up and do not care for the high-blown talk and verbiage that usually hides a rather mediocre or even non existant idea. It is ideas that stimulate me, not glory or prestige. Im highly sensitive and have empathy for others. Im passive so i have a bit of a temper. I feel i have an inner wisdom or inner knowing and i like nature. I'm strong minded in what i think and once my mind is made up (which can sometimes take a while) its unlikely i'll change it. A perfectionist who pays attention to detail. I might start lots of things but im not always so good at finishing them off and seeing them through to completion.I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4..
