Diolch am galw fewn, galwch eto am fwu o mangelion, ac i ddweud helo. ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------- Louis ar Rocyr's started it's life in the year 1980/81, it rose from the ashes of the bands "Bran" and "Maggs". Louis has been playing guitar and bass, since the early 60s, then when he was 15 he joined his first band, playing the bass, to song's by groups like the rolling stones, the yardbirds, the kinks, troggs, them, the pretty things, etc. Then onwards Lwi played in various band's as a bassist in some, and a guitrist in others, playing some blues, and folk music. and a bit of rock. Lwi had been playing bass with "Bran" from 77 untill 79, the band split, as John Gwyn, the guitarist/singer, moved down to Cardiff with his work in TV, and music, From the split of "Bran" three of us decided to carry on (as we had played in bands together before joining Bran) and called ourselfs Maggs, which grew from strenth to strenth, with a good following of Haevy Metal fans, playing all over the place, bikers shows, festivals, also we went out hiring our PA.After a while, half of Maggs wanted to go out full time with the PA hires, which did clash with the band's show's gig's, but the PA was flat out with work, so the band split.A little while after the band's split, i got a phone call from HTV Tv channel, saying that they had heard, that i had got a new band, and asked if i would like to come and perform some songs for a TV music show, I said yeah sure I can, and (of course) I've got a new band LOL, so (they asked) what's the name of the band, "Umm name!!! i hadn't even thought about a name, so i just said off the top of my head, Louis ar Rocyrs,.So i wrote some new material, went and did the show, we enjoyed it, people enjoyed it, so Louis Ar Rocyrs was born. ............................................................ .........................................
