About Me

Holworks - Higher Order Language WORKS - Fayetteville, NC - This MySpace page is dedicated to Mark Holman who is having a go at a second childhood through air painting with his crayon keyboard and colored pencil microphone. These are songs from Carolina Commons that Mark has either recorded all by himself or with help from some of his talented friends in a studio environment. Founded in early 2008 by Mark Holman, Holworks, a new North Carolina ASCAP Music Publishing Company is developing a catalog of his original songs that impact the soul and make you feel. Mark, also known as the Rogue Poet, has been writing lyrics for most of his life though he did not play an instrument until the age of 28.

Purchase the Holworks 5 Song Mini-CD Here. Sales revenue will be used to complete the album.

Now at 49, Mark has completed his first album Carolina Commons that reflects the people, places, and events of life growing up in Fayetteville life on the Commons as seen through the eyes of someone from a large lower middle income class family. Mark reveals people, places, and events in a unique original manner and is often referred to as the Harbor Horn vocalist sure to garner safe passage by any ship within hailing distance.

Mark's second album, Splash is currently underway and should be available sometime in 2009 - 2010. The album will be done before then but the recording of it is a different story altogether as there are a few improbable steps yet to take.

Musicians in Fayetteville who would like to play this sort of music should contact Mark as the best work will come when Mark is encircled by talented musical friends. Let's set precedence globally.
