Books, stories, films, chocolate, beer, wine, photos, theatre, dance, performance art, static art, travelling, adventures, tai chi, kalari, cooking, food, music - play trumpet, drums - cars, motorbikes... but people, you just can't beat people. Fellow arty farty, bookish, leftie, anti-war types, particularly fellow writers, artists, animators, film types, illustrators, painters - particularly keen to meet painters/illustrators/animators at the moment for a project. My ideal woman would be a comedienne/chocolate chef, who likes to dance. Oh, and if she could sing to me like Diana Ross.... oh god, my knees have buckled..... width="425" height="350" ..
Was a Motown baby, Soul Boy, Jazz Warrior, and now fairly ecelectic, though prefer real musicians, such as Light of the World, who we used to sneak out and see at all nighters when I was 13..... width="425" height="350" .... width="425" height="350" .... width="425" height="350" ..
Faves last year were Sin City and Kung Fu Hustle. All time fave might just well be Seven Samurai, but also adore so many films, from Spiderman to This Beautiful Life. Still fancy going to see Superman Returns at the I-Max. Apparently 20 mins are in 3-D. And due to what I do, have an extra interest in Children's/Family Films, such as Shrek, Incredibles, and Wallace and Gromit... width="425" height="350" ..
Oooh, don't have one, though preferred sit-coms, news and documentaries. TV is also good for stuff like..... width="425" height="350" ..
Fave author is Stanislaw Lem, though Borges is cool. Epics from the Iliad to the Mahabharata, French Classics from Balzac to Camus, Russian masterpieces from Doestoevsky to Bulgakov, even American authors from Steinbeck to Cormack McCarthy, though of course, few can compare to Joyce and Beckett. Also like non-fiction..... width="425" height="350" ..
Mohammed Ali, Bruce AND Stan Lee, Bob Marley, Sydney Poitier, Richard Pryor, Jimi Hendrix, and the four main men of music, Stevie Wonder, Abdullah Ibrahim, John Coltrane, and the master himself, Miles Davis. Watch this clip with the two giants of Jazz, and I dare you tell me you know two cooler dudes than the prophet Coltrane, and the master, Davis..... width="425" height="350" ..
