Hello dear friend,My Name is Christoph Mönnighoff and I'm pilgrim-music.1959 - born in a small city near to cologne/germany (called Engelskirchen)
1965 - Started to play drums
1965 – 1771 – started lessons with a private drum teacher
I rode my bike every day to my drum teacher, that means 5 miles (one way) - every day !!!!
1972 - started to play drums in a school Band.
1974 - 1976 played drums in many groups (Big Band, cover and dance bands)
1976 - played the drums in a popular cologne music group. (forgot the band name)
1977 – 1995 did a lot of gigs with international and national Bands. (Ten Years After, Gianna Nannini, Louisiana Red, Al Jones Blues Band, Miller's Crossing, Baseline, The Piano has been drinking, Brings, ……..)
1982 - started to play in the still existing Breakdown Blues Band1993 visited my first Goa party and felt infected.
The electronic sounds and grooves from Goa – Psychedelic was totally different compared to all the other styles that I've heard before.
Straight Bass drum sounds and recurrent Bass grooves – all these influences were a completely new land for me.
But my curiousity grew up more and more. I listened only to Goa – chill – Ambient and Psy the whole day.
A few weeks later, I bought my first music program and thats how I got my label
Pilgrim-music was born.Now, I have been experimenting for more than 15 years with noises and electronic sounds - and I like it more and more :))
