Lylea Salass

Lylea Salass is a Blues/Folk singer from Liverpool. Since Childhood, she has been immersed in delta blues, folk and rock n roll with the help of her Father, Martin Fenn (a veteran of the blues and folk scene).Even though Lylea is a keen guitar player and song writer, over the past few months she has worked on playing an array of old blues and folk songs with artists across Liverpool as well as regular duets with her dad. It was then time to work on some original material alongside her backlog of favourite covers. Lylea was given some Blues songs written for her by Mike Murphy (Singer/Chief, Whiskey Headshot) which got a great response, as well as providing vocals on several of her father's original compositions. Two of Mike Murphys songs can be found on her myspace as well as two of her favorite covers.It was in December 2008 that Lylea decided to perform a mixture off all these songs together at The Company Store, a night ran by The Sixteen Tonnes, held at Liverpool's famous Zanzibar Club. Supporting John Power (The La's/Cast) and with Martin Fenn at her side, her debut received a great reception and some great reviews.In March 2009 Lylea Salass has joined forces with 'The Astronauts'. the who and why's are not yet none, yet expect 'Lylea and The Astronauts' are set to make their debut summertime!
