When Niels and Davy were flowing with techical skatepunk formation Butler, Joe and Matt were rocking with post-hardcore band AfireRising. Because the frontman and bassplayer of Butler seemed to develop undescribable feelings for Dave, the lil’drummerboy decided to quit. However Niels was the only guy straight enough to resist his smoking hotness and decided to go along with him. At that point the bassplayer of AfireRising decided to quit because of another band. The coin started rolling and Joe and Matt left their band aswell. Joe knew Davy from a former band and invited him with Niels for a rehearshal. And destiny was written. The new blend of post-hardcore with skatepunk inlfuences brought their playing to a new level. Next rehearshal Joe entered the room with a whip and started hitting everyone until the rest of the band was capable of doing tripple barrel rolls and double backflips. So that’s kinda how the band got their highly energetic stageperformance.
After some songs written it was time to hit the stage in Waterfront Rotterdam. The crowd actually digged the music! And if they didn’t, they couldn’t stop looking at us, we bought a tractorbeam from NASA, so even if they wanted to look away it simply wasn’t going to happen. They were forced to see the show anyway.
At the second gig the thing broke down.. Guess it was made in Taiwan.. But our luck was the fact that people keeped watching our show! So there was our proof that they really liked it instead of being forced to watch us.
Things started rolling and strange enough there were even people walking towards the merch spots of other bands to ask for an album of Meet the Storm.. Unfortunatly they have to wait until the summer.
Meet the Storm is running like a train who just got oiled and we’re ready to rock (almost) every stage on the planet. !
