I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

I'm a Portland resident who loves shoes, grad school, all things related to books and writing, music, and clothing/style/shopping. I want to start riding my bike more. I love Raymond Carver stories. I'm loving my internship in book publishing. I have a cat named Milo, who's a bit crazy, but totally badass. I don't like black olives, pickles, or american mustard. I have the smallest closet ever...somehow I manage. I miss friends who moved away. I dream about living in San Francisco all the time, having a dog, and decorating a new place. I like nice, ambitious people with a love for life, and sense of purpose and adventure. Laughing is always good. I'm obsessed with stuffwhitepeoplelike.com.
I created my own profile using nUCLEArcENTURy.COM and you should too!

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Jane Pratt. And then we'd go for drinks and she'd tell me how she created an entire magazine empire from the ground up.And then there's Emily Haines:And these rad dudes:

a part of me needs to scream when it comes to you

I was at a coffeeshop this morning, finishing reading for my class at two this afternoon. I was in the middle of an article discussing Raymond Carver's relationship with his editor and longtime friend...

All these things

Coffeeshops, wool jackets, streetcars, new shoes, dusty guitars, vintage jewelry. A boy with glasses, a latte. Nervous babbling. Runny noses, whiny cats, brick walkways, school again, finally. Coffee ...

black eyes aren't really black...

After being smacked in the face by a softball last week, I've been compiling a list of notes on being a 25 year old waitress with a black eye wandering about Portland. Here's what I've found: Squintin...

A song that always gets me.

Dave Matthews' "Crash Into Me" is a song that I will always love. I get this happy/sad feeling whenever it comes on. Such an innocent, pretty song. If you haven't heard it in awhile, give it a chance...

Drizzly pain and rain

This was written a month ago: No one here feels like they've settled. OR at least we believe that it's temporary- that there's more for us. Someday. Always someday. We're building legos of our future&...
