Concerts on Bonnie Branch

About Me

Season Six of Concerts on Bonnie Branch begins October 3rd, 2009! This season will be somewhat abbreviated however due to major renovations on the concert hall (and the rest of the house too). With the help of some friends, we will have at least a few shows!

Want to attend this show? All you need to do is make a reservation! Just visit my concert website and click on the Reserve Your Seat link near the top.

Concerts on Bonnie Branch is a house concert series in Ellicott City, Maryland, not too far from both Baltimore and Washington, DC. We host 6-8 shows between September and April and specialize in acoustic concerts of adult contemporary (AAA), rock, pop, contemporary folk, Americana, jazz and even a little classical.

Seating capacity is about 25, so Bonnie Branch is an intimate house concert setting where talking to the musicians during their set is encouraged. Donation requests are typically about $15 per person.

We take the summer months off -- May through August -- mostly because the 50+ year-old house doesn't have central air conditioning. But also because we don't want to burn out. So doing 6 to 8 shows a year may seem like a small number, but each one is really special and worth coming to!

For all the information you need either visit concert.ryansimmons.net or send a message to us here at Myspace.com/BonnieBranch

Musicians wanting to be considered for a gig on Bonnie Branch, please read Information for Musicians on my website before you send me a message out of the blue. Appreciate it!

Concerts on Bonnie Branch is run by me, Ryan Simmons, and my wife, Carolyn Piccotti. I'm a mild-mannered engineer by day, but a die-hard music lover all the time, while Carolyn is my beagle-loving lawyer wife. I've always got CDs playing in the car and I try to hear something live several times a month. While I played tenor sax in school and I took piano lessons as a teenager, I lack one very important element to be a performer myself: talent. Therefore, I get my music fix by hearing and hosting. Carolyn just comes along for the ride and enjoys the music and the socializing.

If you're interested in coming to a show, visit my website, BonnieBranch.org for details.
