About Me

I am a middle aged science teacher who wishes she were an NFL offensive lineman - at least for a day or two (probably a series or two {how about a play or two?}). I have a lot of empathy for the O-line because they are so important, and never get recognition for their success (and also because I probably look like one). I LOVE the Colts and agonize during each game until it is almost not fun to watch; I tolerate the Bucs and love them 'cause they're the home team - although I personally think Gruden is not nice; and I get pure pleasure from the Giants (after all, he is Little Brother). I am an aged groupie - and still follow the Eagles around (Henley - not McNabb) when they tour the U.S. and when we have money and when the two coincide.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Peyton Manning - Are you really as obsessed as your seem? Do you enjoy other stuff besides football? Let's go to the beach!Rose Kennedy - Thanks for inspiring me to always try to be better!Don Henley - You're our poet laureate - and have kept me dancing since that long ago day in 1972 at the pool...

Post Season Mutterings

The season is over for my Colts. But with the injuries we had to fight through this season, I'm proud of making the playoffs. This season was definitely the season of the knee. Having a knee injury my...

Week 9

What a week! We had a small Halloween get-together, and spent the week decorating the place. We had a graveyard on the front lawn, complete with tombstones and a flying ghost. The furniture was draped...

Week Eight

I spent the weekend in Orlando attending a science conference (I win the weekly geek award) and got back in time for the Tampa Dallas kickoff. I had a great time at the conference, and learn...

Week Two Improbable Predictions

Here we are in week two of a brand new NFL season. Last week was a Shakespeare play with plenty of tragedy and comedy. I love this part of the season most of all because everyone still has hope. ...

Seven Hours to Kick Off!

Seven hours from now, we will begin the migration back to giant televisions to see the pushing and shoving, pounding and running, smashing and stomping. It may be pre-season, but it's the Colts' pre-s...

Training Camp Days

Our vacation is about halfway through, and has been awesome so far. We've spent quite a bit of time in the car, but we've seen some pretty country. I love the Ohio farmlands! We first spent a few...

Training Camp Bound

I've been shiftless about posting lately, but the laziness of a Florida summer has me relaxing a bit too much. I've loved playing with the cats, especially the baby, little Olivia, and Bonni...

Another Good-bye

I hate good-byes. Yesterday, Jake Scott, our right guard, signed with the Titans. I'll miss his grizzly beard and his talent.

Farewell, Mr. Favre

After 17 seasons, Brett Favre has announced his retirement. He was a marvelous adversary, and one I could never harbor hard feelings about. How could anyone not get vicarious enjoyment from his immens...

Yeah!!! I Can Still Wear My Lilja Jersey!!

Yeehaw!! I'm celebrating today because the Colts signed a $20 million five year deal with Ryan Lilja. If I wouldn't get killed by our administrators, I'd wear my jersey today. I love a linem...
