fueling him to train arduously,
fervently honing his craft
with aspirations of grandeur.This incredible athlete has seen it all.
Though corruption surrounds him,
he has kept his heart pure,
paid his dues, sweat and bled,
endured major injuries,
flown to small towns in other countries,
treated like royalty by some,
and spat on by others
all for the love of the business.He has traveled with the boys
by bus on steep mountainside,
taken long road trips in tiny cars,
crammed together like circus clowns.
Some have slept in their vehicle,
eating bread and apples for days,
or spent months away from friends and family,
all because they had a spot on the show.Do you know the heart of a wrestler?He has been promised the world,
only to feast on disappointment,
yet the heart of a wrestler
is steadfast and does not feign.
Wrestling is in his brain and in his blood,
it is seamed to his very soul
and in the end
when his skill is mastered,
and he is wise and astute,
humble and mature,
his labor and toil
will prove him to be
a CHAMPION
