Hi! my name is Phil Lashley and this is my classical guitar page. I have a rock page as well(Phil Lashley band). These pieces were recorded between fall 2001 and spring 2002. The Prelude and Allegro by Bach were originally written for the lute and since the lute is a cousin of the guitar they work really well as a transcription. Granada was written for the piano but is more commonly heard on the guitar...in fact, Albeniz himself siad he preferred hearing them on the guitar. Vills Lobos played the guitar and wrote for it extensively. This prelude is part of five preludes.
