None Of The Above

This Myspace page is currently run by just one person, me and me alone. I'm hoping to bring together the wider community of people who believe that a None Of The Above vote in any election in the build up to 2009's proposed General Election is the only effective vote to stop the rot in this country's political heart. I'm also hoping that awareness of this page will create interest from those who otherwise hadn't heard of the None of the Above movement. I'm not trying to steal any thunder from those who have already set up pages or blogs around this subject, rather to bring together the community so as to better move forward in numbers and bring wider awareness of the issues at stake.My personal motivation for the None-Of-The-Above approach is the desire for, at least, the adoption of proportional representation in all aspects of the UK political system. From a very young age I was aware of the futility of any vote that didn't go the Tories way in my area (East Hants), apparently they could select a chimpanzee as a candidate and it would still be elected. As I grew older, the true horror of this statement dawned on me, both its real implications and the effect the statement itself could have on voting patterns.
