BAILEY’S BIOGRAPHY
The Los Angeles Kings are excited to welcome the newest member of the team…Bailey!
Bailey was born in the wild jungles of North America. Well, not really the jungle; it was actually the Lion Habitat at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Every year he attended Frozen Fury and dreamed of becoming a King. Two things stood in his way though: he’s a lion and the 120 degree days in Vegas make creating ice very difficult.
So Bailey did everything he could to support the Kings from Las Vegas: he booed the Sharks at Mandalay Bay, only ate Duck at all of Vegas’ fine restaurants and refused to hang out at Coyote Ugly.
Then one day Bailey decided to move to Los Angeles and take his shot at the big time. He hopped in his convertible, lowered the top, threw on his shades and drove to L.A. Sadly for Bailey, he left Vegas on a Sunday afternoon and, due to the traffic, it ended up taking him several days.
Once he got to Los Angeles, he could feel the excitement as he got closer to STAPLES Center. He could hear the roar of the crowd and sense how happy the fans were and he knew he was home.
After intense negotiations, Bailey happily signed a lifetime contract to be the Kings mascot. Pursuant to club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Now Bailey can be seen at all home games and throughout the community doing his dream job—supporting the Kings! So make sure to say “hello†or even join Bailey’s Buddies! The only thing Bailey loves more than the Kings is you—the fans!
This energized lion loves entertaining thousands of hockey fans and making new friends. Bailey also enjoys making community appearances and putting smiles on people’s faces. He cannot wait to see you at a game soon!
