I Am Not a Number

Just barely hanging onto sanity

About Me

35 yo dude looking for friends, love, friends with money, sex, sex for money, just your basic run of the mill debauchery. Interested? I edited my profile with A href="http://www.strikefile.com/myspace"

My Interests

I am an open minded fellow, so I have many wide and varied interests. These include: candle wax on the nipples, chains on my......never mind, different list. As you can tell, I like to think I have a sense of humor. Judge that part for yourself. I am into reading, writing, movies, music, hanging with friends, going to NYC and Philly, museums, clubs occasionally, just generally having a good time.

I'd like to meet:

Doctor Jack from "Lost", what izzup with that stupid wife of his leaving him broken hearted like that? Is she insane? Seriously tho, I am looking to meet friends, network with other people who are interested in writing, hook up with any dudes who might be so inclined (so long as I am inclined as well), or just chat with cool people about whatever.

Music:

Anything and everything, but not as much into jazz or rap. My current favorites include: Fleetwood Mac, Sara Evans, Audioslave, Kylie Minogue, Son of Dork, Mcfly, Crosby, Stills, and Nash, Travis, Alcazar, Kelly Clarkson, Donna Summer, Blue, Libera, Disturbed, Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash, Within Temptation, Los Lobos, Grace Slick, and my all-time favorite: Dusty Springfield.

Movies:

Jaws, The Lord of the Rings (all), Ken Park, Y Tu Mama Tambien, You Are Not Alone, Bad Education, The Chumscrubber, The Descent, Hostel, High Tension, Imaginary Heroes, Lords of Dogtown, The Dreamers, The Graffiti Artist, Birth, Magnolia, Eban and Charley, Akira, Steamboy, Signs, Boogie Nights, and loads and loads of others.

Television:

Seinfeld will always be my lead-in favorite: "Maybe there's more to Newman than meets the eye?" "No, there's less. I've looked into his eyes...he's pure evil." I also love ER, Lost, Law and Order:SVU, American Idol, The Honeymooners, Doctor Who, I Love Lucy, The Tomorrow People, Family Guy, South Park, Absolutely Fabulous.

Books:

I read loads of books, here are a few of my recent favorites: "The Sluts" by Dennis Cooper (I love everything he does, raw and visceral and stuff that you usually never find in a Barnes and Noble), "The Tricky Part" by Martin Moran (about surviving child abuse, very moving), "In Awe" by Scott Heim (another writer whose work I love and who is not prolific enough by far), "Black Hole" by Charles Burns (a way cool graphic novel allegory about sexually transmitted diseases), "I Have Chosen to Stay and Fight" by Margret Cho (love her, so this was a natural), "Disco Bloodbath" by James St. James. These are but a few of many. If you want to tell me about something cool that you read, hit me up. I am always looking for new shit to peruse.

Heroes:

Any person brave enough to face another day on this life-encroaching planet. I think they're all dead though.

Things I’ve Learned This Week

1) There are very few left handed men in gay porno. Why is that? Obviously, if you have to stop and think how I noticed whether they're left handed or not, you don't watch much porno yourself. I do, a...

Random Thoughts

- There was a sidewalk sale/festival going on in the center where I work yesterday. A man on stilts wandered into the store and began walking around and loudly making comments and touching things like...

Random Thoughts

1) There is something to be said for living in the middle of nowhere. I have often thought about what it would be like to live in a very rural area. Born and raised in New Jersey, you get used to a co...

Stories Waiting to be Told

I was shuffling through some old cd's recently and came across a few that I hadn't listened to in a long time, so I brought them out for inspection. As a fully carded member of the gay commu...

My Goofy Birthday

My life has never been champagne and caviar, so I was not surprised that my birthday went down as a relatively normal day. I got up, went to work, worked hard as usual, etc. etc. At the very least, I ...

My Dark Side

Don't you sometimes feel yourself slipping into Darth Vader mode, into the dark side of your personality? Like on line at the supermarket when you get stuck behind a woman with three thousand items, a...

Changing Times

I was watching a "20th anniversary" dvd of a movie I liked when I was younger tonight, The Monster Squad. Apparently, and unbeknownst to me, the film has somewhat of a devoted cult following. To my mi...

The Lesser Species....?

Word arrived from the media in the last several days of a dog-fighting ring that this NFL quarterback named Vick was running in his spare time. Supposedly over a hundred dogs were seized from his resi...

Hostel II is the SHIT (Spoilers galore)

Several years ago my brother and sister in-law and I, all horror movie buffs, went to see the first Hostel based on the fact that the guy who directed Cabin Fever was involved and that the commercial ...

Self-psychoanalysis

Several things of varying degrees of importance and/or uselessness about myself occured to me this past week. 1) I will most probably die surrounded by books, dvds, and cds which I have yet to get to...
