HISTORY
i was a late developer where metal was concerned. i was singing in a band and someone played me the black album - metallica.... i bought a bass within about six weeks (black 5 string ofcourse). my whole style is based on how jason played on that album - strong solid style!
from then some played me vulgar display of power - pantera, then chaos ad - sepultura, rage against the machine and so on. from there i worked backwards....
EQUIPMENT
my main bass is a spector euro 5 and i also have a custom made 6 string (the neck is like an ironing board). amp-wise, it's got to the low end growl of an ampeg and i use a digitech bp-5 effects unit.
BANDS
i messed about in many bands through the years but my first one of note was force of habit in northampton from 1994 - 1996, that was kind of rap-metal. then driving force 1996 - 2002, covering judas priest, metallica, malmsteen etc. then i formed magas-eye 2002 - 2005, which all original material metal band. the diverse styles in the band made it something unique, and something that couldn't be labeled style wise. right to existhas been a writing project that i've beendoing since then. will put something when i get time. in august i got the call to help out blaze bayley (ex iron maiden) for a couple of gigs, which was a pleasure and an honour. i learned a lot of stuff and met a lot of people. now i'm very fortunate to be involved in realms of death with such a kick ass collection of musicians..... watch this space for details as they happen.
