Richard Tucker hails from West Virgina and is 54 years old.
When he was a child, he was introduced to the music industry through
his uncles, who played some themselves.At the age of 15 he sang his first original song and recieved and award
for his outstanding perormance. The experience was so inspirational it was then he dicided to pursue a career in the music industry, and joined his first professional band.After years of performing in the club Circuit his songwriting became more apparent through his performances. It was then Richard recieved an opportunity to record an album of original music, in a state of the art 24 track studio.This opened many doors and allowed him to work with a variety of professional musicians throughout the United States.He has continued to create, perform and record his own music and at the present time his is pursuing his professional career as a writer and performer in the music industry with his partner Tim Blair as the Richard Tucker Band.The Richard Tucker Band( R.T.B.) originally began in Charleston West Virginia, the band toured the northeast club circuit for about three years before going to California. They spent a little over five years, 1982-1987, playing in the southern Califonia club circuit in such clubs as The Palomino Club, Gilley’s , Pomona Valley Civic Center , Santa Monica Benefit, and Miles Square Park, as well as recording at Castle Media, Chuck Gray and Griff Studios.Upon returning to the east coast R.T.B. began hitting the airway with their original music on stations WTOS, WZ62, and WERU and with great honors was voted best band by the listeners of these radiosn stations.R.T. B. then moved to Florida. Shortly after arriving the reformed and took on the name Calabash, Writing , rehearsing, and recording the CD entitled Sleeping Dragon. Opening night for this CD was at the Tampa Performing Arts Center. They continued playing their original music as the opening act for groups such as Quiet Riot, Blackfoot, Molly Hachet and even school & police fund raisers.After careful considerations the Richard Tucker Band was again reformed, but continued playing the music that their fans wanted to hear. They lost two band members but gained two as well. R.T.B consists of the following members:Richard Tucker is the pwerful lead vocalist. His strong and electrifying charisma has the power to command any audience. In addition to being on of the bands leading song writers, he is also a talented acoustic guitarist and percussionist and drummer and bassist. His style has capitvated audiences throughout the US for decades.Tim Blair is Mr. Bassman not only supplies the group with an intense driving bottom end, he also a leasing song writer as well as adding vocal harmony. He also contributes a great deal to the technical enginerring of the band.Paul Broderick As the percussionist, he is the solid driving force behind the R.T. B. Band He is creative and plays with dynamic original style. It’s the hallmark of the band. He keeps them rocking from coast to coast.Matt Edgeman his contribution to the R.T.B. Band is his aggressive lead and thythm guitar playing. He sings backround vocals and plays harmony leads. Aside from being an accomplished guitar player, Matt performs with a versatile style that is all his own.
