HISTORY
The Elite Italic black metal horde Apolokia was forged and cursed in
1994 a.y.p.s,under an infernal covenant over the high and icecold
mountains of Gran Sasso.Italy.
The main figure behind was leading musician Von Blackfrost(Nordavind,
Nostalgya,Geist Ritus,ex Gaszimmer,ex In Nomine,Panzerfaust Recording
Studio)but at an early stage Naamash joined the band(Bass/Vocals).
With the use of two more session members,the band just after
six months reharseals entered studio releasing their debut demotape
"Frozen Evokation" in march 1995.
The debut demo received great responses into the european bm scene,
but the year after,line up problems and different attitudes and ideologies
gave a period of no releases,until december of 1996 with the joining
of Verminaard (Ugluk,ex From Depths).
Apolokia started a new musical and ideological path,dealing with a more
extreme and uncompromising cold and grim bm sound.
In april 1997 the band released their second demotape entitled
"Fields of Hatefrost"unleashing the Apolokia sound:evil,fast and cold.
The second demo spread the name of the band all around Italy and
abroad confirming Apolokia as the most controversial and hateful
misanthropic black metal horde ever forged in Italy.
The band never considered the idea of being part of the italian bm scene.
No concerts,no compromises in attitudes,ideologies and musical expression.
In 1999 the band was joined by a new member on bass,Namter and even if
three or four tracks were created,none of them were never officially released.
Lots a labels became strongly interested in Apolokia,but the band never
found their deals that interesting indeed.
The Italic black metal cult was born.
The band in 2000 a.y.p.s.was put on ice leaving to the fans just the mistery,
and the uncompromising music, misanthropic ideology that
always has been the true Apolokia trademark of Elitism.
Disgusted by the evolution of the modern bm scene, Von Blackfrost and
Lord Verminaard disappeared in the northern side of
Europe, hunting the true misantropic aeon and principles of
dark isolation.
After seven years the band was reformed in silence,anno 2007,
Von Blackfrost and Lord Verminaard decided to give rebirth to Apolokia,
no matter the distance problems,between Italy and Norway.
The 2008 promo cd "Immota Satani Manet"
was produced in Panzerfaust Recording Studio.Bergen.Norway by Von Blackfrost, featuring special guest appearance by Malignancy from the kult italic black metal band Dungeon from 1991 .
