Wzup everyone. My name is Kortlyn Keith Moore Jr. My nickname is Kmo. I was born at Christ hospital, on a Thursday night at 10:45pm, hello world.I started playing when i was 2 me and my brother,playing our moms pots and pans playing on them like drums.When I became 4 I’ve had an passion 4 drums ever since.I started playing in my room making a whole bunch of noise, and that’s where it all started folks. But I always wanted to play in church but,I really could not play because I was 2 little. The only way I could ever touch the drums was on my older cousin Darius lap. What away to start off folks, it’s all good. By the time I was 7-14 I finally gotten a chance 2 play. I would study off of gospel recording artist drummers and tried 2 apply some of that 2 my playing. Around this time I was happy playing but sometimes I would get kick off the drums. And their have been times I would go 2 the bathroom and cry. One of my biggest problems was I was 2 busy I would try 2 kill almost on every song. I’m serious folks. Between the ages of 14-17, I had to share the drums. By the time I became 18, my cousin join another church, and I was the head drummer (yea 4 me), but the problem was still there, I was 2 busy. I had a lot of growing up 2 do musically. The older I got I’ve worked more on my craft and my rudiments. And I’ve had 2 realize that this is not about Kortlyn showing off all the time, this is about maturing- playing and sounding like a band. And who shared their wisdom with me was drummers like, Victor Baker, Rex, Quinn, and other great drummers. And also who help me was my mom. I come from a talented family almost every body in my family play. From my grandfather on down. August 22, 2004, I married a beautiful women name LaSharanda.I have four children which I love dearly. Jeremiah, Corla, and Kirsten and a step-daughter name Shakaylah, which was originally hers but now ours. I like 2 also thank my pastor 4 being their 4 me and my wife we love him dearly. And last but not least, I want 2 thank God 4 blessing me with a beautiful talents I am not worthy 2 have. I’m not only a drummer but I am a musician because I can sing and I also know how 2 play a little piano. That’s all folks. Peace and May God bless you many more.
