David Anthony Johnson was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri. At the age of four, he started singing in the children’s choir at church. Coming from a very musical family, it was easy to develop his musical talents.David’s solo career began in his teenage years, and the highlight of those years was winning numerous awards in music throughout the St. Louis area. He has been performing professionally for more than 20 years.As a child growing up, music was not David’s only love. Being inspired by his great-grandmother, David developed a passion for Dr. Martin Luther King and his oratory. With the help and support from his aunt and mother, David started to memorize Dr.King’s most famous speeches. Along with his musical talents, David has performed for and has shared the stage with Rosa Parks, Johnnie Cochran, Maya Angelou, Take 6, Brian McKnight, Julian Bond, and various other people of renown.David has been in demand and has performed all over the country at prestige’s universities, colleges, high schools, elementary schools, churches, banquets, weddings and prisons.David released a CD entitled, “The More” in 1995 and his second CD will be released in 2008.David currently resides in Corona, California. He works as a Probations Corrections Officer in San Bernardino, California.David’s goal is to use his talents in a way to be a positive influence on this generation. That through his efforts he can help to make this world a better place for generations to come.
