About Me

Reviews are syndicated on Amazon, iTunes, Last.fm, The Music Lobby and Discogs! People ask me if I can recommend any good music, and if I start talking, I may skim the surface of my recently enjoyed albums. So instead I point them here. Here's what I enjoy. Take a moment and read a few reviews, perhaps a sentence or two will strike a note, and you will uncover a gem. Please drop a comment, and make sure to subscribe!
We're way into 2008 now. Some interesting albums are finally starting to creep up on my rotations list. I'm still going strong with my installments in which I go over the albums that have graced my rotations, old and new alike, and pick out my favorites to share with you. I've stepped it up a bit with a new "Two and a Half Questions" feature, in which I get to throw some ideas around with the artists currently on review. These words are as much for you, as they are for me, logging my current selections and preserving my trends of taste.
Disclaimer: I am not associated with any artist, band, record label, promoter, distributor or retailer covered by my reviews. I am not a member of the press, and receive no compensation for my work. There is no hidden agenda behind these words. What you see is what you get. All that means is that I write because I want to - not because I have to.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Due to the overwhelming size of this community, I apologize in advance if I am not able to add you as my 'friend'. I prefer to keep my list to a minimum, limited to Artists and Labels that I am very familiar with, if not in person, than at least on a musical level. Nevertheless, you can still subscribe to my blog to keep up with my rotations and reviews.

Artists and Labels who would like me to review their album can submit their demo or promo via my contact page. Lossless or physical is always preferred over digital and compressed. I will not review off of MySpace player. If I like it, I'll be sure to write about it.

Giuseppe Ielasi - Aix (12k)

A few steps in an empty gym, an organ chord, some pouring water, and we're off... Aix is a slight departure from the Italian artist's, Giuseppe Ielasi, previous release on 12k, August. The latter is a...

Ametsub - The Nothings Of The North (Progressive Form)

On some level, I'm a little surprised that no one is talking about Ametsub as much as I am. And I'm not just hyping up this Tokyo-based Japanese artist. Even Ryuchi Sakamoto has allegedly proclaimed, ...
