Silent Frontier Records

About Me

Britain's premier music label "Silent Frontier Records" was formed in late 2007 and rocked out with the philosophy that music was more than just mindless entertainment; it was an art form, a communication, and something to be respected.
In a country where articulate musicians and passionate artists are brushed aside in favour of the cumbersome commercial side of the industry, Silent Frontier Records is to be a breathe of fresh air to a failing industry and which would leave an impact on the music world, with the label’s ethos being the key to it’s success.
The label’s ethos is simple. We’re sick to the back teeth of a desperate and failing music industry (particularly in the UK) ripping people off, and so we are only interested in surrounding the label in good, credible people who deserve a chance to work with a record label, rather than the many backstabbing sh*the*ds who feel it is a kudos of some kind for a band to “pay to play”. We are an honest organisation who works with a friendly but productive outlook on how we do business. We also refuse to sign C**P bands... we are interested in artistry, musical integrity and aren’t interested in keeping up with “fashionable” music trends.
Silent Frontier Records is almost exclusively a rock label dealing with commercial and progressive rock, classic rock, progressive metal, and adult-oriented rock (AOR) based genres. The label goes against the industry grain in terms of signings and is one of the few labels out there genuinely offering an alternative to the drib-drab regurgitated music industry horse-s*** that is clogging up the charts and airwaves
The label will be sub-contracting a full time A&R department which will listen to demo CDs, etc; and all artists wishing to send their CD to us for consideration should read our blogs as they shall contain information critical to our signing procedure.
During 2008, we will be holding a “Battle Of The Bands” contest nationally which will take place at 20 locations around the country, looking for a truly great rock band who deserve to be a part of the label. Details of this event will emerge soon.
We are presently working with Australian pop/rock act "Illicit Eve" - these incredible artists are destined for great things and to show you why, their audio has been placed on this page, and Illicit Eve's promotional video for "They Don't Make Boys Like They Used To" is posted below!!
