Born and raised in San Antonio, TX. I started drumming when I was eight years old. I went to the church of Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, Black Crowes, Rush, and Motley Crue. My brother let me borrow his Queensryche EMPIRE album one day and that pretty much rocked my world, and my approach to drumming. Then one day on my way to school I heard Pearl Jam - Alive, Soundgarden - Outshined, and I could never forget hearing Chad Smith and Red Hot Chili Peppers for the first time really on Give It Away. Dave Grohl's drums on Smells Like Teen Spirit... wow. What a great time and generation to live in. I'm so grateful for all of the amazing music that is around right now. I guess I just realized that it doesn't matter if it's shitty music, or epic music, it's music nonetheless, and in my opinion music that comes from the heart is epic music. I like to play epic drums. I want my life to be epic, and the experiences to match it. I have already been blessed to do more than I ever imagined sitting in my room drumming to those albums and just envisioning myself being able to play in front of my fellow human beings. It's a true honor to do this for a living and I wake up every morning grateful. I owe a majority of my success in this life to my family and most importantly my brother Jeff, who passed away in 2003 and made me realize that tomorrow is not a guarantee, and what am I living for today? I wish you could see me now brother. God I miss you.
