When I choose my next large canvas it seems as if the horse with all it's majesty is already there, I simply release it.The horse, through history has fascinated artists with it's incredible power and mystical qualities as far back as Leonardo da Vinci. When I paint a horse, it is an experience like no other. Each horse like each person has its own identity. My job is to capture the horse and it's personality. There are those that say some doctors are doctors for all the right reasons, some just want to make money. I believe I choose to be an artist to make a difference. The greatest satisfaction I get from my art is people, their reaction and then their response.-Tino
I have been an artist my entire life. I attended college on a full art scholarship and my art has grown from there. In 2002 I purchased land and built a home and a small lofted art studio in east Tennessee. The land adjoinning my property has horses living on it. While painting in my loft and watching these amazing animals I realized a certain mysticism about them. Before long I began studying and sketching them. I met the owner and began riding them. Now I paint horses full time. The passion took hold of me. I have experimented with countless mediums and techniques to try and capture the essence of the horse. Painting a horse is painting a portrait; every horse, as every person, is unique. The horse has a marvelous blend of beauty, grace and power, as no other. The energy generated from the horse has left its mark on our spirit as a culture, as the power of a mechanical engine is still measured in horsepower.I now have a collection of my work ready to view, some are life size. If you are in the Wellington, Florida area call me for a showing in my studio gallery. Come experience the power of horse power paintings!

As a founding member of the Portrait Society of America, I combine my portraiture skills with my passion to paint horses. I work from existing photographs as well as on-site photo shoots. As depicted in my paintings, the use of photography is simply a tool. As an artist I provide the vision. After consultation I complete a finished drawing for discussion and review. Once approved, I build the canvas.I paint in my studio in Wellington, Florida and also in my studio in East Tennessee. The studio in Wellington is also a gallery for private viewings.
