Nathan Peoples

About Me

Nathan Peoples started playing alto saxophone at age 11. His first professional gig, at age 14, was with his dad, Jerry Peoples. Nathan was in jazz band all through high school, receiving numerous awards. He majored in jazz performance at Northern Illinois University. During his time in Des Moines Nathan was very visible in the area music scene, playing with Interstellar Bus Stop, Hyde Park, Bob Dorr and the Blue Band, as well as numerous guest appearances with virtually every local band or musician. Nathan has performed with Eric Alexander, Mark Pendor, Mars Williams, Lucky Peterson, Tommy Castro, and Tab Benoit, to name a few. In 2007, Nathan became the youngest musician to be inducted into the Iowa Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for his work with Bob Dorr and the Blue Band.
