Simon Winse,L’Arc à bouche est un instrument mythique du pays San au nord-ouest du Burkina Faso dont est originaire Simon Winsé. C’est au sein de son village natal que Simon Winsey, enfant, apprendra à jouer de cet instrument. Adolescent, il s’installe à Ouagadougou, la capitale du Burkina Faso, où il se spécialise dans la flute Peulh et le ngoni. En 2000, le public découvre Simon avec son frère Tim Winsey, célèbre instrumentiste qui a marqué les creations de de Salia ni Seydou et Kongo Bateria. Il est à la fois musicien interprète, compositeur et chanteur. Son univers musical se nourrit du jazz fusion , du blues et de la musique traditionnelle Samo. Il joue avec de nombreux groupes musicaux, du Burkina et d'ailleurs (Tonton Rideau Bayonne, le béninois Patrick Ruffino pour le grand prix RFI , les chanteurs français Renaud , Raphael...) mais aussi avec des compagnies de danse contemporaine (cie Ba, cie Garage , Serge Aimé Coulibaly et le Faso Danse Théâtre ...) de théâtre ("Vive voix des rues " de Fanny Bérard , "Pièce d'identité" de Mathieu Mortainer, "Madame je vous aime" d'Etienne Minougo...), contes avecle conteur Burkinabé KPG. Il participe également à la composition de musique de films Burkinabé ("Mamio" ...)
The musical arc is a mythical instrument from the region of San of North West of Burkina Faso, the native land of Simon Winsé. It is at an early age that Simon will learn to play this instrument in his village. Adolescent, he will move to Ouagadougou, the capital of Burkina Faso where he will turn to the flute Peulh and to the ngoni. In 2000, the public will discover Simon Winsé with his brother Tim Winsey, a famous instrumentalist who has left his mark on the creations of Salia ni Seydou ad Kongo Bateria. Simon is not only a musician but also an interpret composer and a singer. His musical world is inspired by the jazz fusion, the blues and the traditional music from the land of the Samo. He plays with various music bands from the Burkina and abroad (Tonton Rideau Bayonne, the Benin Patrick Ruffino for the grand prix RFI , for the French singers Renaud , Raphael...) but also for contemporary ballet companies (cie Ba, cie Garage , Serge Aimé Coulibaly and the Faso Danse Théâtre ...), for theatre companies ("Vive voix des rues " fromFanny Bérard , "Pièce d'identité" from Mathieu Mortainer, "Madame je vous aime" from Etienne Minougo...), and with the Burkinabe story teller KPG. He will also participate to the composition of music for Burkinabe films ("Mamio" ...)...
