Obscure Beauty [IS ON TOUR!]

About Me

Everything was looking great for Idaho Progressive hardcore band Obscure Beauty. A very agressive, but very melodic sound akin to bands such as underoath and misery signals. They had a solid line-up, a progressing sound, and were about to go into the studio to pound out the first proper full length. It had been a long road for the 6 Idaho rockers, but it all seemed to be working out, until in the middle of the recording a devastating change happened, 3 members decided it was time to call it quits.
Member changes can make or break a band. Obscure Beauty choose to not let it break them. "It was a really rough time for us" says Esai Saldana, guitar player. "We first lost our vocalist, then 2 more people decided to leave, so it left us with a tough choice whether to keep going or to just let it rest. After talking with Gabe(synth/vox) and Murph(bass). We decided that there was still too much we needed to do with this, we couldn't let it die." They decided to keep going. After a few auditions, they found drummer Jake Smith, and Vocalist Derek Younger. Instead of just looking for clones of the former members, they decided to progress to a new sound and a new level. "We didn't want to have just people replace our former members, we love those dudes, and instead of just trying to remake, we decide to make a new mark, and go even further"
Now with a new shot of life, they look to keep going right where they left off. With an album release on the horizon, new blood, and the same passion, Obscure Beauty looks to take their music to the next level.
