About Me

Hey Everyone, I'm a concerned step parent of a severely Autistic child. I'm concerned about the publicity that Autism Spectrum Disorders are receiving in recent blurbs on various news magazines. These reports are not telling the full story when it comes to Autism. They paint a picture of a mild disorder that affects ones ability only to socialize and engage in imaginative play. For my family, and for my step son Autism is far more debilitating. I am not here to bash such persons as Jenny MaCarthy or Oprah Winfrey. What I am here to say is that while all their advice and effort in raising Autism awareness is greatly appreciated, not all the advice they give works for every child. Autism is a Spectrum Disorder which means that it affects each person differently. What worked for Jenny's son may work for several other kids, but not for everyone. Nor does everyone have the resources to fight Autism the way Jenny was able to. In short, I want to encourage you (especially if you're a person of means) to educate yourself further on this disorder. Don't just take the popular media's stories at face value, dig a litle deeper. Autism is treatable, but sadly, there is not a one fits all treatment or cure. You should create your own MySpace Layouts like me by using nUCLEArcENTURy .COM's MySpace Profile Editor !

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

My misson in this endeavor demands that I seek out persons of means who are capable of helping various organizations meet their goals in opening schools, treatment centers, assisted living facilities and funding agencies with a desire to help persons suffering from ASD. Whatever Autism's Cause we know that it is treatable. Sometimes this means that in order to make progress in their lives a person with an Autism Spectrum Disorder must find treatment options not neccesarily recognized or funded by the Federal Government. So, sorry Micheal Moore not even Canada can help!I have named this profile Entertainers against Autism in hopes that some of you Entertainers with money to burn might get on board with me and actively seek out groups who desire to help those suffering from ASD gain access to the treatment they so desperately need. Instead of wasting your "hard Earned" money on crap that gets you thrown in the DOC or The Betty Ford Clinic. So, to all you entertainers out there; If you're willing, and Have Money that's getting you into trouble (Paris Hilton...Britney Spears... Charlie Sheen), Money which the working man provides you. Then share my vision, Let's Create a fund to help those who are helping those who are in need. HELP THE PUBLIC THAT SUPPORTS YOUR GREAT AND OFTEN CHEESY ENDEAVORS!!!
